Meet our frosted cast
SMP are very pleased to announce that for the first time in the groups history we will be performing ‘FROSTED – A Family Pantomime.’
The story tells the tale of two Princesses as one struggles to come to terms with the magical powers she has been given. Can they survive the snow storm? Will they ever find true love? Or will their kingdom be taken over by a wicked Prince? Watch the show to find out how strong the bond between sisters can be and that they’ll stop at nothing to look after each other.
Featuring all the traditional elements of pantomime this new show written by Warren McWilliams promises to warm the hearts of children of all ages and adults alike.

Frosted Blog – Week 9
Hello all, welcome to this weeks blog. I’m Debbie and I am part of the chorus. On Monday Fay created a fabulous dance to our mash up number created by our equally fabulous Mikey B! We all concentrated very hard and ended up with a very good ensemble number! Our hard work did not go without a couple of injuries! Sorry Marian!! 
. We have also made a special little friend at our rehearsal venue. I’m sure we can get him in the production somehow!
Wednesday we had lots going on. Costumes, singing and even time for our choreographer to set our baddies number! It all seems to be coming along nicely. We even had time to celebrate with one of our princesses who got engaged to her prince. Congratulations love bugs.

Frosted Blog – Week 2
Hi everyone out there, my name is Tina and I have been lucky enough to be chosen to tread the board’s once again with this bunch of lovely people.
After performing in Urinetown back in June, it only felt right to come back and return for the wonder that is Panto!! Its my first time doing a SMP panto and so far I am loving it!!! I feel so at home with this slightly cold, some would say Frosted crew!!!
It’s week two and I don’t think I could be more excited if I tried! Monday saw us having a last minute venue change so we all wandered along to Milfield House to learn another song with our wonderful MD, Mike. After going over and double checking harmonies for the brilliant song that we learnt last week, we jumped straight into a song by a very popular group but I will mention no names…..All I will say is there was only One Direction we could go… crazy, crazy, crazy!!
There was also chocolate cakes made by myself, there were no birthdays I was just making up for the almond flavoured cakes from last week – note to self, always check for nut allergies! (No one was hurt during the eating of cakes) We finished up early but not before Director Bossman Luke gave us a very….erm….simple….ish tongue twister to help with diction:

Wednesday saw us members of the chorus having a night off while the principal actors blocked scenes with Luke. I can not wait to see what they have done, i just know its going to be amazing as will be the show!

Urinetown Blog – The Get In
Hello and welcome to URINETOWN.. Not the place of course, but the blog.
My name is Michael and I have been handed the blogging baton from our smallest and most divaish cast member Archie the bunny.
Yesterday saw the beginning of ‘Show Week’ starting off with our company and crew ‘Get In’ – This day is pretty much self explanatory as to where the cast, crew, band, costumes and of course the set are all moved into the theatre.
The start to the day was an early one, some of the cast went down to the theatre to meet the crew and lend a hand in off loading the lights, set and stage.
The atmosphere in the theatre that morning was euphoric. As the morning went on and the biscuit tin dwindled, the excitement between the cast and crew grew and grew. We could all see the set coming to life.
Then came the time where the cast had to leave the theatre and the set building in the capable hands of our crew, lead by our fantastic stage manager Alex Snow. But the while the hard work back at the theatre continued, the cast met for our last ‘Run through’ before hitting the stage.
We were all put through our paces by the ever gloriously delightful Jo Bakhurst our outstanding Choreographer.
We also had an extra little surprise waiting for us at the rehearsal in the form of a little bundle of joy! The cast finally got to meet the future generation of SMP – baby Jasper McWilliams, accompanied by glowing Mummy Joanna McWilliams.
Once the run through was completed the cast were shipped off back to the theatre to check out if the hard work from our crew had paid off – and I can assure you all, it most certain had!!
The set looks incredible! We had some time to run a few of the dances to check for spacing and tighten up a few little loose ends.
The cast put in such high energy after such a long day which certainly paid off as by the end of the night, it literally had Jo Bakhurst in tears!!
It’s such a pleasure to be working with an amazingly talented bunch of creative people, and even more fulfilling to be able to see our amazing director/leading man Warren McWilliams’ vision for this show being brought into reality. And at last the good people of Urinetown finally get to see their town for the first time, and for what it has always been. URINETOWN.
